What do I need to rent a car in Albania?

A valid driving licence held for at least one year, a passport or ID card, and a credit or debit card in the main driver's name. Licences in Latin script are accepted as they are; an International Driving Permit is only needed if your licence is not in the Latin alphabet.

What is the minimum age to rent a car in Albania?

The minimum age is 21 with at least one year of driving experience. Drivers under 23 may be limited to compact and economy categories.

Can I take the rental car to Montenegro, Kosovo or Greece?

Yes, with prior notice. Cross-border travel must be requested before pickup so we can issue the green card insurance and the authorisation letter required at the border. An extra fee applies.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes. A refundable deposit is blocked on your card at pickup and released after the car is returned without damage. The amount depends on the vehicle category.

Is the price all-inclusive?

The displayed daily rate includes insurance, unlimited mileage, VAT and roadside assistance. Optional extras such as a child seat, an additional driver or out-of-hours delivery are priced separately and shown before you pay.

Where do I pick up the car?

Pickup is free at Tirana International Airport (TIA). We also deliver to Tirana city, Durrës, Vlora and Saranda, and on request anywhere on the Albanian coast. Delivery fees are shown at checkout.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup and the booking deposit is refunded in full.

Do you rent automatic cars?

Yes. A large part of our fleet is automatic. You can filter by transmission when searching, and automatic availability is highest when booked in advance for the summer season.
